What we collect
If you subscribe
Your email address. If you complete the optional second step, the topics you selected. We also record how you reached the site: the referral source, medium, and campaign, so we can tell which channels bring readers who stay.
If you only read
No account and no sign-up. Your browser is counted in aggregate analytics, and the advertising and analytics tools below may set cookies. We do not ask you for anything.
If you email us
Whatever you send, kept for as long as it takes to deal with it and to keep a record of corrections.
Who it is shared with
Three companies, named rather than described. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone else.
Beehiiv
Runs the newsletter. Holds your email address, your topic selections, and the referral details recorded at sign-up.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
We run ads there. The Meta pixel records that a subscription completed and that an article was read, and Meta may match those events to an account using a hashed version of your email. This is how we tell which ads bring real readers.
Tag Manager and analytics, used to count traffic and see which pages people actually read.
Your choices
Leave the list
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe at the bottom. It takes effect immediately and needs no reply from us.
Have your data deleted
Email us and we will remove your address and everything attached to it. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold.
Turn off the tracking
Browser settings and content blockers stop the analytics and advertising scripts from loading. The site works normally without them.
Read without subscribing
There is no paywall and no registration wall. Nothing on this site requires you to hand over an address.
Asking us about your data
Deletion requests, access requests, or anything on this page that is unclear: email thebiointel@gmail.com. Our other contact routes are on the contact page, and how we handle reporting is set out in the editorial policy.
